INSTRUCTIONS

Week 3
We are going to sync the required audios in Premiere Pro (Speech & Sound effects only, no music), record the speech and find the sound effects ourselves. Using a short clip from the movie - Soul.

I recorded the speech using my phone recorder and found some sound effects from freesound.org that I needed.

Then here's my outcome:

Fig 1.4, Audio Editing Exercise 1 (Soul)

After Mr. Martin's feedback, there is soft music behind the little girl's laughing, I didn't notice that when I added it. Other than that, I need to add some street ambience sound to it since it was beside the street. And I need to add leaves falling sound effect when the leaves are falling and lower down the bird chirping voice since it was kind of annoying.

Week 6

This week we are going to do Sound Shaping with EQ (Audio Editing) using Adobe Audition.
Then, we are going to apply the effects and export to mp3, upload to SoundCloud or Google Drive and embed into the blog.

REFLECTION

Audio dubbing practice is very interesting. I've never done it before. It feels fresh to me. Others like sound shaping and sound design. At first, I thought it was difficult for me, but after doing this work and listening to Mr Martin's lectures, it was also a good experience, but I still needed lots of practice, because I was not familiar with it through these exercises yet. I also learned how to create those special sound effects like talking in different places and different people talking voices.
