INSTRUCTIONS


Week 1 

  • Module briefing.
  • Think about ideas for AR Project.
  • Come up with at least 3 ideas.

  1. Horoscopes in the sky
    -Appears horoscopes you can see at the location and time (month and day) when scanning the sky.
  2. The human body (Apps for kids)
    - Scan a person's body will show body part's name (hands, legs, eyes, mouth,  ...)
  3. Learning ABC (Apps for kids)
    -For example, A for apple, scan the apple on the book, and the apple will become 3D.

Week 2
We split into groups and were tasked to create a journey map, our group members are Alicia, Britney, Jia Yee, Vernice and me, after discussion, we agreed on the journey map to Sunway Lagoon.

Week 3 
We started to learn using Unity and Vuforia in class for our project later. We learned to make a simple one by adding a picture and a cube, and the cube appears on the picture we added while using the AR camera. 

And we also used Polycam app on our phones to try out the 3D function by scanning an object 360 degrees.

Week 4
This week we learned to add buttons by using the buttons that Mr Razif gave us and added animations to the buttons. We added two scenes, the main screen and the exit screen, both with a function button.

Week 5
Today we learned to add video as an image target in Unity. After that, we added "scanning AR target" and also an image with the text "watch video". We added a play button at the end too.

FEEDBACKS

Week 2
Do not use personal experiences as pain points.
- Try to create more viable solutions (has to be clear during the purchase that there are two types of tickets (locker or water equipment inclusive) that are not user-focused but rather more on what the place can offer in terms of facilities, support and aid.
- Increase the quality of the wrist tag instead of changing the way to unlock the locker (keycode)
- Install outdoor showers to rinse off the chlorine.
- Add a tram for transport purposes between Sunway Lagoon and the
faraway parking lots.



REFLECTIONS

I never thought I'd learn these AR things. It is quite fresh and interesting to me. It was pretty fun when seeing things work. We are like kids having fun during week 3 class, seeing things appear when we scan them. We literally just felt very excited and also worried that we would be able to do things like this in our final project. But on the whole, it's still interesting!
