INSTRUCTIONS
Task 2(A) / Key Artwork
We are tasked to use the initial letters of our name to create a logo, and the key artwork should be related to a career. This key artwork will subsequently be used in Task 2(B).
I started by looking on the internet about different careers and trying to relate them with my initial letters (C, V, Y, Q), I thought it would be easier than just only trying to make them into a logo.
So I came up with some ideas:
Left 1: Inspired by QR code &
Instagram logo (maybe IT jobs)
Left 2: Thinking of an archery
club (but does not looks good hahah)
Right 1: Thinking of clothing brand/store (the "Y" looks like the
collar part)
Right 2: Thinking of a party decoration supply
store (a face with a party hat)
Right 3 & 4: Thinking of a
lounge bar (cocktail shape)

Task 2(B) / Poster, Animated Invitation, Collateral
For the poster, I was aiming to create a neon theme poster to match the bar
vibe. Here are some of the progress:

chose the neon lighting one for "night" to magnify it)
Here's the outcome:

FEEDBACK
Week 7
General feedback:
Think of the occupation before or after creating the key
artwork. Use black and white before experimenting with other
colours. Try to avoid using yellow as it doesn't stand out on a
white background.
Specific feedback:
Think of the space and balance
them, reduce the height of the cocktail.
REFLECTION
The shapes of the logo should be relevant to our occupation or store, so people will be easy to understand what is our occupation or what is our store selling, etc.
Findings:
This task is actually what I thought we would do if we are working as designers, such as designing logos, posters, animated invitations and collaterals. This task was close to our life so I think it is a very helpful task that helps us explore and experiment, and it might be helpful to some of our future.
